Watercolor Lesson #2

The kids and I are having so much fun using the Hearts & Trees watercolor technique lessons. They have literally begged me everyday to paint and we have almost used up all of our paper and paint! Thomas now considers himself to be a budding "artist", especially when he is asked to sweep the kitchen floor or wipe off the kitchen table and then he can't because "he's an artist"!

This lesson we practiced making wavy lines and leaving white spaces between. We all accomplished this task tolerably well and enjoyed choosing different color combinations.

Don't miss out on the fun and learning!

Emily showing off her finished product.

William watching and wanting to join in.

Me hard at work....this take some concentrating.
(Alissa took this pic)

Alissa multitasking...eating and painting.

Thomas working away.

Emily in the "zone".

This is the color Tom's water turned.

Alissa was using different colors than Tom so their cups of water are quite a bit different.

Emily's finished piece.

Alissa's finished white line painting.

Tom's finished work of art.

My white line painting.

A piece that Tom painted free-hand after our "lesson" was done.

  1. Great work! I have that instructional post from Hearts & Trees bookmarked, but we keep forgetting to do it! Maybe you've inspired me to do it today!
